I remember sitting in my bed in White Plains several years ago crying about something stupid that I didn't know how I was going to get through... it was late January... and my mind was racing, I couldn't get a straight thought and I just knew I wasn't going to be ok... (how pathetic!!) anyways.. I was reading a self help book and something "tinked" me in the forehead. I looked down on my book and a ladybug was crawling across the page. It crawled to the top of the book, turned around and just sat there.... I knew it was grandma and right then all my fears melted away!! I was completley fine.. I didn't even put another ounce of energy into my problem and it went away.. just like that. I knew then I'd be alright.
Other times mom has had similar experiences.. she's been cursing up a storm (not like her) and a ladybug will appear.. she know's her mom is letting her know she's listening!!
When mom found out her white blood cells were low, she said a prayer to god asking for some sort of a sign that she'd be ok. At the kitchen sink, she looked down at there was a ladybug on one of the dishes... just sitting there. The reddest one she ever saw. She knew then she'd be alright. That same day I called her outside to show her the littlest ladybug I had ever seen, swiming around with me in the pool.. I said it must be Audrey!
We have found several ladybug items in the gift store here, so I bought all of them... she has a few magnets sprinkled around the room and a four leaf clover with a ladybug on it by her bed.
Last night Jazzy and Mary went to the house to visit dad. When they left, he went in to start the laundry..(you read right... we are proud of you dad!)..... and there on his shoulder was a ladybug. He knew then mom would be alright.
my point... keep your eyes open. You will probably have a similar experience now.. so don't suck them up in the vacuum!!! THEY ARE OUR FRIENDS!!! sorry.. i'm not yelling at you..
love.

Thats a beautiful story!! It made me cry...in a good way! I will definetely keep my eyes open for any little critters. I cant wait for Jazz to see Meema on the computer screen, thats going to be awesome!!

Hi Rita! It sounds like you had a busy day, I hope you rest well tonight. I have to tell you, last night I read Lisa's entry about the ladybugs and remembered her telling me about ladybugs "showing up." About an hour after I read the blog, I was thinking about you and said a little prayer for you and your family and out of nowhere a ladybug landed on my bed! I am now a "believer." Love to you Lovely Rita!!
